Hi, I have a friend from Europe that works with us for short periods in the uk but resides mainly in Spain, is this going to be a problem. Will she need a working visa in the futur?
Hi Tmmilner. Until 31 December 2020 there will be no change for your friend with regards to visiting and working within the UK. In the event of a no deal then we may be facing a visa situation. At present suggestions are for short term work visas and regular visitor working Visas but the simple answer is that we do not know and will not know until later this year. We have Champions in both the UK and Spain and as soon as advice or announcements are made we will disseminate them on our website and within the Forum. Short answer – nothing changes in the short term but we will know more soon…
Definitely your friend will start asking being paid in euros instead of quids. When Brexit was announced £1 > €1.4. Today £1=€1.10. Smart move I think!
Euros is still money and if you want to stay in UK there is always currency exchange..euros to pound!!!
